Product designer Rasa Balaišė and founder of the brand RASA deSIGN, is a designer with versatility. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Design from the VDA in 2000, she has been working as a freelance designer since then, designing furniture, lighting, accessories and various design concepts. She actively participates in local and international design exhibitions and collaborates with various architects and manufacturers. Recently, Rasa has been focusing on mass production projects. Rasa Balaišė has won a number of local and international awards, including PRIX du Public for the chair “Mama” in 2006 (France), Gold Medal for the children’s mattress “Loniukas” in 2016, Gold Medal in the competition “Product of the Year of Lithuania 2017” for the mattress cover collection “LONOFIBRETM” (producer UAB “Lonas”).
