After a period of social isolation, hugging became even more important. The embracing chair BODY also embodies exactly this insight. Cahir BODY is at the same time a furniture and a toy, a simple chair and a playful object, a material expression and an anthropomorphic human hint, object and subject, function and emotion. It is a chair that acquires features and characteristics thanks to its mobile “hands”. The game begins as if in the opposite way – it is not a person embracing something or somebody, but he himself falls into the friendly embrace of a materially anthropomorphic hybrid. BODY it is an object from the constantly growing collection of DESIGN OF SENSES by designer Rasa Balaišė.
