That Which We Do Not Remember is a catalog of William Kentridge’s retrospective exhibition commissioned by Kaunas 2022 European Capital of Culture. The main idea of the book’s structure, ‘Never ending book’, is correlated with Kentridge’s creative ideas about the cyclicality of history and events. The book consists of two blocks connected through the back spines and separating the visual material from the textual one. The book can be flipped on both sides and creates an uninterrupted structure. The color code of the book (black, white, red) is chosen according to the coloristic used in the works of W. Kentridge. The publication reveals this through selected materials and bindings. The principle of the catalog is like an expanded exhibition and a home-based gallery that creates an independent narrative of the exhibition. NoRoutine Books works closely with artists to conceptualize and produce their works in book format. Through a collaborative process, NoRoutine Books ask artists to push the boundaries of their practice and experiment with different printing and binding processes.
