Probably every one of us driving through a forest sees areas that have been cleared and logs stacked and ready for the next life cycle. But what happens after they leave the forest? Through experimentation, the bark of pine and birch has been given a new lease of life in the form of the Cortice coffee table. This table represents how an often overlooked but undervalued material can be used with design thinking and the craftsman’s love for the material.
