The Culture of Waste project presents Sophia Lapiashvili, a designer from Sakartvelo. In her home country, she designs shoes and accessories using textile scraps left over from other people’s creations or wearing. During her month in Lithuania, Ms Lapiashvili exchanged experiences with like-minded people, explored the possibilities of reusing objects, and looked for partnerships with local entrepreneurs and creators.

The design week included a co-creation with recycler Milda Paukšte (Denim Diaries studio), giving a chance to an old chair from the bus stop “THANKS” and scraps of tapestry from Magrė furniture.
